Part 1: Activating your License

 

Step 1: 

To use V-Ray using the school license you must first create an account.

Before requesting access, you must

Step 2:

Once your account is created, please follow this link and complete the form.

Step 3:

IT Service will be notified that you completed the form, and we will issue a license to your Account. This will be done within 24 hours of you completing the form. The email will look like this:

Step 4:

Accept the invite

Step 5:

Wait for Products.

Products will be allocated by IT Service, please be patient while this is completed.

Step 6:

Once the products are activated you will receive an email like this:

Click download product. 

Proceed to Part 2 below.

 

Part 2: Downloading and activating the software (For SketchUp)

Step 1:

Go to the product Download page here: Downloads (chaos.com) https://download.chaos.com/

Step 2: 

Select the correct product you would like to use. (in this example, we are using SketchUp) 

 

Then select the version of Sketch Up you have installed on your Computer:

Step 3:

Install the product.

Step 6:

Login to the License Server. Open a browser (Google Chrome or Safari) and go to the website: http://localhost:30304/#/ login using the Chaos account you made in Part 1.

Step 5:

Launch the SketchUp. V-Ray should already be running, you can see it running because you can see the V-Ray tool bar appear. If needed you can activate the license by going to: Extensions > V-Ray > Help > License > Activate License:
